Little, Sierra Win in Boise

Boise, ID – After the first day of the Dar Walters Boise State Fall Classic in Boise, Idaho, two of four Utes remain standing. Junior Santiago Sierra and sophomore Dan Little won their first round matches and advance into the round of 16.

Sixth seeded Little defeated Zachary Hewlin (Whitman) 7-5, 6-4 and will face Sam Serrano (Utah State) Saturday at 10am. The Aggie won the B Draw at the Utah Invitational last month.

Seventh seeded Sierra needed three sets to defeat Idaho State’s Quentin Wacquez 6-3, 4-6, 6-2. The junior will now face Felipe Fonseca (Idaho) in the second round on Saturday at 10am.

The two Utes, seeded third, also teamed up to defeat BYU’s Carrazedo/Vincent, 6-2, to advance to the round of 16, which will be played Saturday at 4pm.
