
Dan Little impressed last season going undefeated in singles and doubles play
Salt Lake City, UT- The University of Utah men’s tennis team will open up the 2016/2017 campaign Friday when it hosts the 2016 University of Utah Invitational Tournament.
“We are excited to get the season going,” said head coach Roeland Brateanu. “It’s been a long wait since last April and I’m eager to see guys compete again.”
The Utes will host Weber State, Utah State and Montana at the George S. Eccles Tennis Center Friday September 16 through Sunday September 18. First serve will be daily at 9am MT.
The Utah Invitational will be the first look at the new and improved Utes squad. Returning 7 players from 2016, the Utes are looking to have a breakthrough season and qualifying for the NCAA tournament for the first time in 20 years.
Last season, the Utes dominated their tournament winning all 4 doubles draws and three of four singles draws.
Parking in the E lot east of Guardsman Way is free and so is admissions.
