The team spent their 2016 retreat in Southern Utah participating in a wide variety of outdoor recreational activities including white water rafting 18 miles down the Colorado River and hiking the world famous Delicate Arch.
Saturday the team was split into three groups of 6 to white water raft 18 miles through the narrow West Water canyon. Their team skills were put to the test on the challenging Colorado River where every mistake on class 3 and 4 rapids could have been disastrous.

The Utes concluded the trip on Sunday with a hike to the world famous Delicate Arch in the Arches National Park.
“Overall the trip was a great success,” said head coach Roeland Brateanu. “The guys got tot know one another, were forced to work together as a team, while having a lot of fun. It’s a great way to start the year.”
