Salt Lake City, UT – The University of Utah men’s tennis will host the Utah Intercollegiate Tournament this weekend. Play will take place Friday, September 25 through Sunday, September 27. First serve will be at 9 am MT each day. Parking is free in the E parking lot located east of Guardsman Way.

Weather permitting, Utah’s new outdoor facility will be showcased during the tournament. A round-robin format will feature the Utes, Air Force, Weber State, and Montana State. Click here to view the tournament draws.

“We are very excited to host our annual Utah Intercollegiate Tournament, especially since it will mark the first time our new outdoor facility will see competitive action,” said head coach Roeland Brateanu, ” Weber State, Montana State, and Air Force will provide a good test for our guys this early in the year.”

Last week, sophomore transfer Egbert Weverink made his singles debut for the Utes with a splash winning the 2015 Bobcat Invitational. The 6’8″ dutchman beat fellow teammate Matt Cowley in a 3-setter, 6-4, 3-6, 6-2.

Come watch the Utes this weekend as they break in the new outdoor facility. It is located just west of the existing indoor Eccles Tennis Center. Check this website and our social media pages on FacebookTwitter, and Instagram for updates and results.
