The 72nd ranked University of Utah men’s tennis team (9-6) finishes their California tour versus the Yale Bulldogs (10-4) at the Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego, Calif., at 10 a.m. PT on Thursday.

The Utes lost a tight match at Loyola Marymount (7-6) on Tuesday, but they look forward to one last challenge before conference play. Head coach Roeland Brateanu previews Thursday’s matchup: “Another tough match against a good opponent that will help us prepare for conditions we will face in Pac-12 play in a few weeks.”

Last Saturday, Yale’s 3-match winning streak was snapped at Loyola Marymount, 5-2. The Bulldogs rebounded last Sunday with a 4-3 victory over Portland in Newport Beach, Calif. Yale is 1-1 in neutral site duel matches this season. The Bulldogs are lead by No. 1 singles player and sophomore Tyler Lu, who is 6-4 in singles play.
