It is a well known fact that athletes need good nutrition, but you probably didn’t know that out of almost a thousand colleges in the United States, only 47 have a dietician on staff to aid their student-athletes on their nutritional needs. The University of Utah is one of those institutions and under the tutelage of dietician Beth Wolfgram, in the new athlete dining hall, Utah’s athletes learn how to eat and drink to reach their ultimate goals.
“To perform at their highest level, this is an important aspect of an athletes’ life. They have to be properly educated on how to continuously fuel their bodies to perform at their peak on the tennis court and in the weight room,” said head men’s tennis coach FD Robbins. “With our new athlete dining hall and a great dietician staff, our student-athletes have a unique opportunity to be at their best. Now they have to learn to be as disciplined in their nutritional choices as they are on the tennis court, in the weight room and in the class room.”
