Junior Ben Tasevac has earned the University of Utah men’s tennis team’s Most Academic Award for the 2012/2013 school year after earning a team high 3.695 GPA. Tasevac, a biology/pre-med major, already earned the team’s MVP award after a stellar 18-7 singles record, mainly from the No. 6 singles position.
“It’s been a great season on and off the court this year and I am honored to receive my teammates’ votes for MVP and to earn the team’s Most Academic Award as well.”
The team’s Most Academic Award has been awarded annually since 1997 to the student-athlete with the highest GPA over the course of one school year. Tasevac becomes Utah’s first ever student-athlete to win both MVP and Most Academic Award honors in the same season.
Congrats Ben! Great job!
