BOISE, Idaho – The University of Utah men’s tennis team (7-3) fell to Boise State (4-7) by a score of 6-1 Saturday at the Appleton Tennis Center in Boise, Idaho. The loss marks the Utes’ second consecutive road loss of the season.
The Utes started the day off with a poor showing in doubles and never recovered from it. Despite playing injured, junior Alejandro Medinilla was the lone Ute to come up with win from No. 3 singles.
Utah will travel to southern California on Friday to play three more matches on the road. On Sunday they face San Diego State, followed by a match up with UC Santa Barbara on Monday. The Utes will enjoy a day off on Tuesday to prepare for the match against UC Irvine on Wednesday.
