No. 9 California Golden Bears
The Golden Bears currently boast three ranked individuals, including No. 39 Ben McLachlan, No. 43 Carlos Cueto, and No. 72 Nick Andrews. McLachlan is currently 7-4 in dual matches from the Nos. 2-4 singles positions, while Cueto holds a 4-5 record and Andrews holds a 4-7 record.

Thacher is 7-3 from the No. 1 singles position, while Klahn is 3-2. Another notable individual is John Morrissey, who holds a 10-3 dual-match record and is currently on a seven-match winning streak.

The doubles pair of Klahn and Thacher are currently ranked ninth in the nation and hold a perfect 6-0 record from the No. 1 doubles spot. The pair is also on a impressive 12 match winning streak. Thacher pairs up with Morrissey to rank 69th in the nation with a 6-2 dual-match record, also from the No. 1 position.

The Utes fell at No. 18 California by a score of 7-0 in 2011. Dmytro Mamedov gave a solid effort from the No. 2 singles position, battling 59th-ranked Cueto to a tight 7-6(5), 6-4 loss.

Last Time Against Stanford
Utah dropped a 7-0 decision to eighth-ranked Stanford on the road in 2011. Despite dropping the first sets in singles play, Devin Lane and Garrett LaBarre both battled back and won their second sets, 6-4 and 7-5, respectively. The two Utes were unable to rally in the third sets and fell in the tie breakers at the Nos. 4 and 6 spots.
